The Institute for Humane Studies is pleased to offer PhD Scholarships at George Mason University in the USA. Full-time graduate student enrolled in a PhD program during the 2017–2018 academic year are eligible for these scholarships.
IHS awards the IHS PhD Scholarships each year to promising students dedicated to developing, teaching, and applying the principles of a free society.
IHS is a nonprofit educational organization that engages with students and professors around the country to encourage the study and advancement of freedom.
Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing PhD programme.
Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded in the subjects offered by the university.
Scholarship Award: Besides that immediate financial assistance, this scholarship opens up possibilities for your future to:

Eligibility: The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for this fellowship:
Full-time graduate student enrolled in a PhD program during the 2017–2018 academic year are eligible for this scholarship.
Applicants should have a strong record of academic excellence as well as a demonstrated research interest that is rooted in the tradition of individual and economic freedoms.
Nationality: International applicants are eligible to apply for this scholarship programme.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirements: Applicants must have their previous degree.
English language Requirements: GRE, GMAT, or LSAT scores and percentiles. (Unofficial scores are acceptable.)
How to Apply: You need two reference letters from professors. Both of your referees should email their letters directly to funding-at-theIHS.org by March 15. Any time you plan to apply for a scholarship, recruiting professors to write these letters for you should be your first priority. Documents required:
  •  CV
  • GRE, GMAT, or LSAT scores and percentiles. (Unofficial scores are acceptable.)
  • A statement of all other funding you will be receiving (stipends, fellowship, etc.). This does not include tuition assistance.
  • An electronic transcript from your current (or most recent) institution. Unofficial transcripts are acceptable.
  • If you have defended your dissertation proposal, include your proposal defense as well.
Application Deadline: The deadline for all applications is February 28, 2017.
