MSc Studentship in Veterinary Parasitology at University College Dublin in Ireland, 2016

A two-year MSc studentship is available in the area of veterinary parasitology. The selected applicant will work on a collaborative project between the Teagasc Animal & Bioscience Department and University College Dublin.
This project aims to investigate the extent of anthelmintic resistance on beef cattle enterprises in Ireland. The seasonal pattern of gastrointestinal nematode challenge in first and second season grazing cattle will also be examined.

Applicants should have a 2.1 degree or higher in the following or related subjects: veterinary medicine, animal science, agricultural science, zoology or biology.

Scholarship Award: The stipend is valued at €22,000 per annum from which fees (approx. €6,000 for EU citizens) must be paid. The position will primarily be based at the Animal & Bioscience Department, Teagasc, Dunsany, Co. Meath and University College Dublin.

Eligibility: Applicants should have a 2.1 degree or higher in the following or related subjects: veterinary medicine, animal science, agricultural science, zoology or biology. Candidates must be enthusiastic, willing to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and have a clean drivers licence.
